Katrina Preston

Herefordshire Wildlife Trust Engagement Manager

“As the Engagement Manager for Herefordshire Wildlife Trust I manage all our family engagement and the passionate team that deliver this work. This covers: WildPlay outreach community projects (inspiring play in local green spaces, engagement in nature and promotion of healthy and sustainable living), forest school programs, adventure clubs, wildlife educational workshops for local youth groups, school curriculum linked environmental sessions, weekly nature tot groups, nature inspired craft workshops and sessions and wildlife watch groups. My team and I run regular trails at Queenswood such as the Gruffalo, Easter egg hunts and spooky evening walks. Most recently I have been developing Wellbeing projects working with Herefordshire Mind for adults looking to improve their mental health by spending time in nature. I work closely with other local organisations, charities, town councils, housing associations, the Military of Defence and children centres to reach the wider community of Herefordshire, bringing nature into people’s everyday lives.”
